Terms and Conditions
Last updated: May 28, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Magnolia Transmissions website and your relationship with Magnolia Transmissions (“we,” “us,” or “our”) when you request quotes, schedule service, or authorize transmission repair or replacement work at our facility in Covington, Louisiana. Please read these Terms carefully before using our services.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website, submitting a quote request, scheduling an appointment, signing a repair order, or otherwise engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our website or authorize repair work through Magnolia Transmissions.
If you are submitting information or authorizing repairs on behalf of a business or another individual, you represent that you have the authority to bind that party to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Service Estimates and Repair Authorizations
Quotes and estimates provided by Magnolia Transmissions—whether online, by phone, or in person—are based on the vehicle information you supply and our initial inspection or diagnostic findings. Estimates are not guaranteed final prices. Actual repair or replacement costs may vary if additional parts, labor, core charges, freight, or related components are required after disassembly, diagnostic testing, or supplier verification.
No repair or replacement work will begin without your written or electronic authorization on a repair order or work authorization form. If the scope of work changes materially, we will make reasonable efforts to obtain your approval before proceeding with additional charges. You are responsible for providing accurate vehicle identification information, including year, make, model, and VIN when available, so that we can source the correct remanufactured transmission or related components.
Remanufactured units, torque converters, and related parts are subject to supplier availability and lead times. Magnolia Transmissions is not liable for delays caused by parts suppliers, freight carriers, or circumstances outside our reasonable control once an order has been placed in good faith based on your authorization.
Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of authorized work unless other arrangements are agreed to in writing before service begins. Magnolia Transmissions accepts payment methods as displayed or communicated at the time of service, which may include cash, approved credit or debit cards, and other methods we make available from time to time.
Deposits may be required to order remanufactured transmissions, cores, or specialty components. Deposits are applied toward your final invoice. Core charges, if applicable, will be disclosed on your estimate or repair order. Core credits are issued only when returnable core requirements are met within the timeframe and condition specified on your invoice.
Past due balances may accrue reasonable collection costs permitted by law. We reserve the right to retain possession of your vehicle until all authorized charges, storage fees if applicable, and related amounts are paid in full, to the extent permitted under Louisiana law. You agree to pay all taxes, fees, and charges associated with your repair or replacement order unless otherwise stated in writing.
Vehicle Abandonment Policy
Customers are responsible for picking up their vehicle promptly after Magnolia Transmissions notifies them that authorized repair or replacement work has been completed and the vehicle is ready for release. Failure to retrieve your vehicle in a timely manner may result in storage fees and administrative charges as permitted by applicable law.
Vehicles left on our premises for more than thirty (30) calendar days after repair completion will be considered abandoned. An abandoned vehicle may be subject to a mechanic's lien, impound, sale, or disposal in accordance with Louisiana statutes and local regulations governing unclaimed or abandoned property. Magnolia Transmissions will make reasonable efforts to contact you using the phone number, email address, or other contact information on file before exercising lien, sale, or disposal remedies.
By leaving your vehicle with us for service, you acknowledge this abandonment policy and agree that Magnolia Transmissions may pursue lawful remedies to recover unpaid charges and recover possession of shop space occupied by unclaimed vehicles.
SMS/Text Messaging Terms
If you provide a mobile phone number and opt in to receive text messages from Magnolia Transmissions, the following terms apply to our SMS program in addition to the disclosures in our Privacy Policy:
When you opt-in to the service, we may send you a message to confirm your signup. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Text HELP for help. Text STOP to cancel.
Consent to receive SMS messages is not required as a condition of purchasing transmission repair or replacement services. You may contact us directly by phone if you prefer not to receive text messages. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Magnolia Transmissions and its owners, employees, contractors, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of our website, quote process, or automotive services, including but not limited to loss of use of your vehicle, loss of income, towing costs, rental vehicle expenses, or loss of personal property left in your vehicle.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to services performed by Magnolia Transmissions shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific repair or replacement giving rise to the claim, except where liability cannot be limited under Louisiana law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Warranty coverage for remanufactured transmissions and related components, where applicable, is provided by the manufacturer or supplier and is subject to the terms of that warranty. Magnolia Transmissions will assist with warranty administration as described on your repair documentation, but manufacturer warranty terms govern covered defects and remedies.
You are responsible for maintaining insurance on your vehicle. Magnolia Transmissions is not responsible for damage to your vehicle caused by pre existing conditions, unrelated mechanical failures, accidents, vandalism, theft, fire, flood, or other events occurring while your vehicle is in our care except to the extent caused by our negligence.
Governing Law and Contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms or our services shall be brought in the courts located in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
